For Chinese-taught tracks
- Non-Chinese citizenship, good physical and mental health, no criminal record, and interest in Chinese-language education
- Age 16–35 on 1 September 2026; up to 45 for employed Chinese teachers
- International Chinese Education and Chinese Literature: HSK 3 ≥180 and an HSKK result
- Tai Chi culture: an HSK result; HSKK is preferred
- Scanned passport photo page
- HSK and, where required for the selected track, HSKK results, valid for two years
- Recommendation from the head of the recommending institution
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form valid at application (six months)
- Non-criminal record certificate, normally issued within six months
- Personal statement in Chinese covering background, chosen subject and study plan
- Employed Chinese teachers: employment certificate and employer recommendation
- Under 18: guarantee from an adult guardian resident in Shandong, notarised authorisation signed by parents and guardian, and guardian identification
